For just £1 more per share (£2 on the 40k Bumper and Christmas draws), attach your own Bonus Ball number to any share you buy. Match it and you unlock an extra prize, but only if that share's own First Prize number comes up first.
Every share gets its own Bonus Ball pick; a whole ticket only unlocks the full Bonus Ball jackpot if every one of its shares matches.
Bonus Ball never applies to second, third or any other tier; it only ever tops up a First Prize win.

The lottery was founded after the Second World War to help finance new housing for evacuated families, and every draw since has kept that same purpose: play locally, and the surplus goes straight back into Gibraltar.
The Gibraltar National Lottery was founded after World War II to service a loan used to finance the construction of new housing for the population that had been evacuated. The first draw was held in October 1947.
This conventional passive game consists of 24 draws per year. Of these, 21 are regular bi-weekly draws, at a ticket cost of £10 (divided into 10 shares of £1 each). First prize for the regular draws is £100,000. For each draw, 20,000 tickets are issued, with 23 winning numbers drawn.
The remaining three draws are special event "Bumper" draws with higher first prizes. Tickets for the Summer Bumper Draw are priced at £20 with a first prize of £400,000, with 40,000 tickets issued and 35 winning numbers drawn (5 major, 30 minor). The biggest is the Christmas Draw, held the week before Christmas: tickets are £20, first prize £1,000,000, with 100,000 tickets and 25 winning numbers (5 major, 20 minor). The Three Kings Draw in early January is priced at £20 with a £400,000 first prize, 40,000 tickets and 33 winning numbers (3 major, 30 minor).
Prizes. If the same number is drawn twice, the number corresponding to the lesser of the two prizes is redrawn. Tickets are also eligible to win more than one prize.
